How to re-curl your American Girl doll's curly hair

Here is an easy trick to re-curling your American Girl doll's hair.

You will need:
A cup of water
a Q-tip
and a ton of small clips any kind will work. Here are a few I used.

After you gather everything together separate your dolls hair in to small or thick strands of hair.

I found it easier to put a clip on the hair after it was divided to keep it separated

Next get one strand of hair.

Then  wet the hair with your water.

Then you will need to use your Q-tip and loosely curl the hair around it.

After the hair is curled around the Q-tip take your clip and slide it in the middle of the hair and clip it.
Then take the Q-tip out.

Continue to do this until you have done all the strands of hair.

Leave the clips in till the hair is dry then you can take them out. Your dolls hair should look like this.

Your dolls hair will no longer be frizzy but now curly. :)

Box Turtle opening

I found this Box Turtle and saw it slowly come out of shell.  It was a little shy of the camera but I got a few pictures of it.  I think that this box turtle was 10 to 13 years old. I held the turtle and It was neat to see it coming out of it's shell. I was surprised that the turtle could move fast for its size. Here are a few pictures.

The Future Door book review

I was really excited to review The Future Door ( No Place Like Holmes volume 2) by  Jason Lethcoe. I really enjoyed the first book No place like Holmes. The Future Door is about a boy named Griffin and his uncle Rupert Snodgrass. They make a great team with Rupert's inventions, and Griffin's Sharp eyes.  Griffin is staying with his uncle in London for the summer, in the year of 1903. Rupert, (Griffin's uncle) has been working on a machine that you can travel with in past, present, and future; while Griffin goes back home with his uncle to visit his mother and father. While they are there Griffin looks at his Uncle's book of inventions and discovers the time machine. When they return to London Griffin's uncle shows the time machine to him; it is shaped like a teapot. But soon after they return the time machine is stolen and Griffin and his uncle Rupert watch the future fall into pieces. Will they be able to save the world? This question was the biggest that I was wondering throughout the book. I thought the ending of the book was not as good. It was kind of confusing. I really enjoyed the short mini mysteries in the back of the book. I also enjoyed the parts where Griffin relied on God to help them through the tough times.

Our Mommy cats

Two of are cats had kittens. We found Snow Whites kittens first. Here they are:

Aren't they cute? She had four.
Here are Sally's  (the other cat's) kittens she had two. I just found them today, under the roots of a very big tree in our woods.

They truly made me enjoy every moment.
